The website TED TALK, contents on this site are
sometimes introduced as learning resource in the course. I even hadn’t
known about the conference,
but it’s so interesting…. Of course sometimes it’s a bit too difficult
to catch English…but it’s good practice for me anyway!
I also like the design of the site. On the top page, you can choose the layout from visualization (pictures in a block layout), or list, and sort by release date, popularity, rate by users (such as most inspiring) etc. It looks the size of the picture represents the order. The quality of video playback is not bad, and topic of the talk is shown just on the timeline bar, so it’s really convenient.
These video are broadcasted as podcasting, you can download them into iPod. One inconvenient thing is, in the case of podcasting, iTunes shows only the title so I can’t see if the content is something I’m interested in. I don’t want to download everything…so I always end up going to check the website…
