Confidence in your career workshop

Ok, I’m always complaining about the service at UAL , so I would like to write about a good thing today! I went to attend a workshop by creative career. They provide service like advice on career issues, freelancers issue etc., but the workshop was about “confidence in your career”. Desgree Show, finishing the course, etc.

The course finished last week. One year was so quick! For the last project, we made an iPhone application called “Alight”. Alight is an application to allow users to associate their small ideas in daily life with particular location, so that they will have more chanced to develop them further. I was in charge of interface design. I know iPhone is not small as mobile phone, but still designing menu for small screen was good learning for me. Business Link

As I wrote before, I was challenging a business course. And it successfully finished when I handed in the assignment! But it took so long as I was not familiar with the subject. But it was such a good practice for me. Well, I found a website called “business link” during research in regard to law. I’m gonna be a business person!

Err…it’s about a part-time course which I enrolled on the other day. I heard I can do other courses apart from my main course. As it is an art college, they have a lot of different courses such as Photography, Video, Music, Printing, Design etc… Since I heard that courses related to digital media is mainly the basic of software, I excluded them from the choice. Course Start

The course started from last Monday.  The first week was induction…introduction of the course,  introducing each other, tour of the school etc… Reading the syllabus, I felt sure that I would never get bored for the year. Every lecture looks interesting, they are exactly what I wanted to study  (= skills and information I need). The schedule is online,  and can check it lively and it looks we can use course wiki as well. Outside the school, the group on facebook was created and everyone is online! How different we are.

So, I’m attending the language class at the moment prior to the main course which starts in October. I had been told that all students would be Asian. But actually we are such a multi-cultural class. Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, Brazilian, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Colonbian, Spanish, Estonian, Dutch…I am only Japanese in the class. It’s fun, but all communication is only English…sigh. Well but the class is really fun. We can share variety of stories from variety of countries.
