Tokyo Day

As I heard there will be an event about Japan, I went to have a quick look after shopping. “Origami”, “calligraphy”, “Koma” and “Robots”, there were lots of “let’s try” booth, and there were lots of people as well. At “Tea Ceremony” corner, I saw some British people showing slightly curious looks, and shitting in Japanese style (=seiza). They looked so cute. This event was organised by Tokyo, but I wondered if they always call volunteers. If so, I want to help them next time! By the way, Shishimai was performing at the stage. A woman was playing the flute […]

Input > Output = Enrichment – Satisfaction

It’s been about 2 weeks since a new project started, and as I started a new course as well, my brain capacity is over flowing. But the project is really fun, and I feel enrichment, but I can’t feel satisfaction yet. Also my physical condition is not good, so mentally I’m feeling down…sigh. I’m still so weak. In my case, once I start worrying, not only that I can’t do my job really well, but also I can’t sleep no matter how tired I am. I should be a bit careful… So, I should try another day. And it’s weekend. […]

I’m gonna be a business person!

Err…it’s about a part-time course which I enrolled on the other day. I heard I can do other courses apart from my main course. As it is an art college, they have a lot of different courses such as Photography, Video, Music, Printing, Design etc… Since I heard that courses related to digital media is mainly the basic of software, I excluded them from the choice. At first I was thinking of taking photography…. but well, it doesn’t cost, so maybe I can take something which I’m really not good at (= unlikely to pay for the course even in […]

Francis Bacon at Tate Britain

So, now it’s about Francis Bacon。 As I got a strong impression from the poster at the tube, I was so interested in this exhibition, and found this web content. Well, it looked a bit complicated to look into the detail, so I went to the museum anyway… I hadn’t been to Tate Britain. It is located along the Thames, and the building looks so “museum”. The inside is much bigger than you can imagine from the outside, and they have lots of exhibition other than special ones. Many of them are admission free. It’s so kind for poor students… […]

New Year, etc.

When can I move to a story about Francis Bacon? Anyway, I’m going to write about after Xmas to now… So, after Xmas, I went to see Ms N. to be given reflexology. As I used to go to massage at least once a month in Japan, I was so happy to be relaxed. Thanks, N! By the way, it revived my interests for aromatherapy, so I bought lavender oil and a stuff for foot bath. For a few days before new year, we sometimes invited guests and I cooked Japanese meals, and enjoyed it very much. On the new […]

Christmas in the UK

Another different talk before Fransis Bacon. Christmas in the UK. It was in summer when I came here, so I was feeling like Christmas was still far away, but it’s so quick the time flows. It was the second time for me to stay Christmas in the UK, but it was really fun again! One thing I’m always amazed is how early they start enjoying Christmas. Shops start to display Christmas decoration in November, and for the last one week, all the music I heard was Christmas songs. I don’t want to hear them for a while. Sorry. I really […]
