Xmas 2009

Thanks to everyone, I had a wonderful Xmas this year too.For the eve, my friend kindly invited me to the dinner with her family, and I could enjoy very “proper” Xmas atmosphere. (Sometimes how we cerebrate Xmas is a bit wrong in Japan.)My friend is always good at cooking… and now I know why, because her mother is so good at cooking! Her parsley sauce was sooooooo yummy. And I really enjoyed British family Xmas time. I appreciate their kindness. On the Xmas day, my landlady (Japanese) cooked dinner for us. Now this time, it was more like “Japanized western” tastes which […]

Lupin the Third and Social Media

A Japanese animation called “Lupin the third” is doing a massive scale promotion in Japan. (Lupin the thrid, the main character is a heroic phantom theft, like the original “Lupin”) And they are using social media a lot! At the beginning, a official account of “Lupin” was created on mixi, and they let users to become “friends”. And they collected opinions of what the users want him to steal. I thought maybe they would use these opinions for the idea to make another animation, but actually a famous statue in Shibuya in Tokyo has gone. Seems the actual police force […]

Witnessed Google phone?

I often see articles about Google phone recently, but I think I witnessed it today. When I was on the tube, a man sit down next to me. He looked to be in a hurry, and was fumbling about in his bag. And then he took out a box which looked like to contain a new mobile. Oh yeah, he got a new smartphone? Thinking like that, I found a word on the box, saying “Nexus one”. Nexus One…? Was it the name of the Google phone? …or was it just a name of another Android phone? Google phone is […]

Confidence in your career workshop

Ok, I’m always complaining about the service at UAL , so I would like to write about a good thing today! I went to attend a workshop by creative career. They provide service like advice on career issues, freelancers issue etc., but the workshop was about “confidence in your career”. I’m not a confident person and everyone else looks always imposing and self-confident, so I thought I needed to learn to be like that a bit more in order to survive in competitions! It was about 1.5 hours session, and was like self-analysis. Ar first, we brainstormed about what I’m […]

Apple sauce

One of my favourite things in the U.K. is apple sauce 😀 (It’s not that common in Japan) I usually fly pork, and put lots of lots of them! …ok, a picture by DSi is not that good. But anyway, I wonder if people who 1. don’t like subuta (chinese dish) with pineapple 2. can’t accept apple in curry wouldn’t accept this sauce either.
