Posted on 17th Sep 2009

The course finished last week. One year was so quick! For the last project, we made an iPhone application called "Alight". Alight is an application to allow users to associate their small ideas in daily life with particular location, so that they will have more chanced to develop them further. I was in charge of […]

Priscilla

Posted on 14th Aug 2009

I went to see the musical "Priscilla". I didn't know anything about the story, but it was amazing! The costume was so gorgeous, all the scenes was so energetic and powerful! I wish I could understand their jokes more... but still, their dancing was wonderful and I enjoyed it so much. Actually my friend's friend […]

Lavender Harvest

Posted on 27th Jul 2009

My friend told me about this, I went to the Lavender Harvest. It smelled so nice even outside the place. They were selling lavender oil and creams etc. It was so fun. I had rice balls and Japanese tea for lunch. (OK, it's not British style, but...) And we went to pick lavender. I realised […]

Magistrates at Koko

Posted on 25th Jul 2009

My friends told me about "Magistrates" and I went to see their gig at koko yesterday. It was really good! I loved it. I don't know why, but their tune sounds a bit like Asian traditional music. But still soulful. The vocal's voice was so good. You can listen to their music here. http://www.myspace.com/magistratesband

Kodo at Southbank centre, London

Posted on 9th Jun 2009

I went to see a performance by "Kodo" (A group of Japanese traditional drum players). To be honest, I hadn't seen any proper Japanese drum performance before, and I just went there because it was 50% off for students! But it was amazing. Just amazing. I thought it would be good when I saw the […]

A few weeks ago, I went to meet other Japanese postgrads students. I was so impressed by people studying […]

Noh at V&A|ロンドンで能

Posted on 5th May 2009

As I heard that I could see "Noh" (Japanese traditional theatre) at V&A, I went there wearing my kimono. To be honest, when I went to see "Noh" almost 10 years ago, it was in Yasukuni Shrine and the play was "Atsumori" as same as this time, the situation was perfect as there were some […]

Places I haven’t been before

Posted on 14th Apr 2009

Although it's been for a while since I came to London, there are still lots of places I haven't visited. They are two of them. Primark :P and St. Paul's Cathedral. My image of Primark is cheaper Uniqlo. But they have more different designs than simple Uniqlo, so it's fun to look around. But I […]

Business Link

Posted on 26th Mar 2009

As I wrote before, I was challenging a business course. And it successfully finished when I handed in the assignment! But it took so long as I was not familiar with the subject. But it was such a good practice for me. Well, I found a website called "business link" during research in regard to […]
